Seat belt emulator
BMW 5 (E60 E61) and 6 Series (E63 E64) and X5 (E70), X6 (E71 E72)
Short installation video:
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Under the passenger seat find the yellow connector as shown in the picture below.
3. Open found connector.
4. Locate the seat belt buckle plug (wires colors: red, black) and disconnect it.
5. Using a small screwdriver, remove the wires from the plug (red and black) and replace them with the emulator wires in the same color order.
If you have bought the seatbelt emulator ended with a plug, simply unplug the seatbelt connector and plug in the emulator plug instead.
6. Insert the seatbelt plug into the big yellow connector.
After installing the emulator, it may be needed to remove the fault using a diagnostic computer, especially when a seat mat emulator is installed with the seatbelt emulator.
