1. Turn the ignition off.

2. Under the passenger side seat find the plug which is connected to WSS module.

Below there’s a video showing where to find it:

The photo below shows how each car wiring color corresponds to the emulator wires:

Brown/white (vehicle) – Signal → Emulator wire: White

Black (vehicle) – Ground (GND) → Emulator wire: Brown

White (vehicle) – +12 V power → Emulator wire: Red

3. Connect the WSS tester (emulator) to the airbag control unit.  Important: The emulator must be connected to the car’s wiring, not to the WSS module. The plug is connected to the module. To explain this more clearly, please check the schemes below:
During the installation be very careful not to cause a short circuit – even if +12V is applied to the signal wire for a fraction of a second, the emulator will be damaged. The connection should be properly insulated.

4. If the seat belt warning light has appeared:
start with disconnecting the seat belt buckle plug only (leave it disconnected). In most cases this should help. The seat belt buckle plug is shown in the picture below:

If unplugging the connector did not resolve the issue and the seat belt warning light is still on, install the seat belt buckle emulator.
The emulator has two wires (yellow and blue) that must be connected in place of the seat belt buckle.

Important: Connect the emulator to the vehicle’s wiring harness, not to the unplugged seat belt buckle.

Wiring connections:

Blue wire (vehicle)Blue wire (emulator)

Green wire (vehicle)Yellow wire (emulator)

If the seat belt warning still appears after connecting the seat belt emulator, set the switch to the opposite position.

5. If needed, reset the seat occupancy sensor fault code using diagnostic computer.
