ESL emulator installation instructions- Mercedes, Volkswagen
The device simulates the operation of electronic steering lock (ESL) in a car. To connect it, proceed as described below.
1. To find the right plug, remove the cover under the steering wheel – there are three screws in the steering wheel adjustment area that you need to unscrew and remove the cover above the driver’s legs.
2. The emulator should be connected in place of the ESL according to the diagram assigned to the appropriate car model:
Mercedes W202, W208, W210:
Mercedes W203:
Mercedes W209, W211, W639:
Sometimes in W211 the red wire should be connected in place of PIN 4. If the connection in PIN 2 does not work, connect the red wire in place of PIN 4.
Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter:
Mercedes W169:
3. After connecting the emulator, try to turn the key.
The emulator LEDs meaning:
– green – correct communication
– blue – power supply
The emulator should be connected by a qualified person.
